Why people join our Middelburg team
Our base in Middelburg, Mpumalanga is built around planning, accuracy and follow through. We support customers in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the Northern Cape, North West and Gauteng, so the work often involves early collections, route changes, load planning and keeping people updated when site access shifts at short notice.
We value staff who can work calmly under pressure, communicate clearly and handle real world logistics. Some days are spent preparing bundles of jaw plates, mantles, concaves, blow bars and liners for dispatch, while other days are about checking counts, confirming delivery details or helping a mine get the right parts out before a shutdown, no fuss just proper support.
Roles we recruit for across the business
We do not publish a fixed vacancy list here, because the work changes with freight demand, stock levels and customer schedules. Instead, we keep an open line for people with experience or interest in the kind of work below:
- Warehouse and stock handling
- Freight coordination and route planning
- Customer support and order follow up
- Procurement and supplier administration
- Site delivery coordination and load securing
- Order consolidation and return freight planning
If you have worked in mining supply, transport, warehousing or customer service, and you can manage detail without losing pace, we would like to hear from you.
What the work is like on a normal week
The work is practical and hands on. One week may involve preparing urgent part dispatches for a remote mine in the Northern Cape, then helping organise bundled kits for a quarry near Rustenburg, then making sure a load for Limpopo is packed securely for the road. Weather, road conditions and site rules all matter, especially where access roads are rough or where municipalities have specific delivery times.
We also plan around load-shedding and the realities of busy mining areas, so people who work here need to stay organised and keep records straight. A small typo on a load note can cause a delay, so attention to detail matters a lot and it saves everyone time later.
The qualities we look for
We hire for attitude as much as experience. People who do well with us tend to be steady, practical and ready to help when plans change. Good communication, honesty and a strong sense of responsibility go a long way in this line of work.
- Comfortable working with stock, freight or customer requests
- Good with instructions, paperwork and follow up
- Able to work with dispatch deadlines and site delivery timing
- Prepared to deal with remote locations and changing route plans
- Respectful, reliable and willing to learn

Meet the people behind the operation
Crusher Consumables Direct is led from Middelburg by Thabo Mokoena, with support from Lerato Nkosi in operations, Johan van der Merwe in freight coordination, Ayanda Dlamini in customer support, Sibusiso Mahlangu in warehouse supervision and Megan Naidoo in procurement administration. Together, the team keeps the stock moving and the service practical for mines and quarries across the country.
That mix of roles matters because every job here touches another part of the chain. When someone in the warehouse, on the phone or on the road does their part properly, the customer gets what they need and production keeps going without unnecessary delays.
